Spark joy in your life, the Marie Kondo way

For the past few years there has been a big rage about the Marie Kondo Movement. This movement is about decluttering your home and making it tidier, getting rid of items you don’t really need and using that method for cleaning up your home.

The Marie Kondo Movement is helping a lot of people get rid of their unwanted and unnecessary items. It is doing it in a caring way, not just tossing items because they don’t look good or nice.

Getting rid of items in a caring way may sound odd, but the philosophy of the Marie Kondo Movement is:

If an item doesn’t spark joy or happiness when you see it, you can get rid of it.

This method seems a bit up front and complicated, but it is actually really helpful for getting rid of items. There is also a pattern to this method.

The picture above describes it in full detail as it goes from Clothes all the way to sentimental items.

You literally have to grab all the items that you have in the one category, leave no stone unturned, and then put it all in one room.

For example, gather all your clothes and put them in the living room. Then go through your clothes and make a pile of clothes that spark joy. Or go through your clothes and make a list of items that should really go and keep the rest.
By going through it one category at a time you are also keeping things manageable. If one category is too big, then it’s also perfectly fine to do this over multiple days.

There are many success stories of the Marie Kondo Movement, or the KonMari. It is a way of cleaning your house and not feeling guilty.

According to the KonMari movement, these are the categories that need to be cleaned. By following the steps in this program, your house will be cleaner and neater. Having an uncluttered house has proven to improve your happiness and make you feel more peaceful.

The KonMari method is a good way of cleaning your house and making your space feel less cluttered.

We believe that items aren't the only things that can spark joy. If you are building your own home, or decorating your home, make sure that all your decisions spark joy. Everyone needs some joy in their life, why not make sure you get a spark of joy every time you come back home?
